Installing Screen Time on secondary profile on Android 5.0

  1. Uninstall from the 1st user, the apps needed to be installed in 2nd user.
  2. Enable USB debugging in the 1st user also enable Security >> unknown sources option as well.
  3. Connect the device to the PC
  4. Switch to 2nd user
  5. Give a command “adb devices”. No device will be listed. This is where it gets a little techie so please read this article for more info.
  6. Switch to 1st user. There will be a USB authorization dialog popped up on the screen. Select “always” authorize.
  7. Switch to 2nd user. Install the apps needed using the command “adb install <app name>
  8. Now, the apps should be installed both in the 2nd user and 1st user.
  9. If you don’t want that app in 1st user, you can switch to the 1st user and uninstall it there. That app in 2nd user remains untouched!
