How to disable Emergency Calls

If you decide that you want to disable Emergency Calls and block your child from making phone calls, then there are a few steps that you need to take.

  1. Tap on the Emergency Calls section in your child’s profile and turn the feature off for the children you want to block.
  2. Once you’ve done that you’ll then need to go and block the Phone app in either the Schedules, Bed Blocker, App Blocker or Daily Limit depending on when you want the phone blocked.

How do I add a restricted website?

Restricted websites are blocked all the time, so your kids can never see them.

  1. Open the Web Filtering section in your child’s profile and then tap on Restricted websites section.
  2. Type in the name of the website you want to allow then tap on Add To Restricted List. You can only allow root websites not a specific page on a website, for example badwebsite.com is a root website, and badwebsite.com/nasty-page/ is a specific page.
  3. You will see that website is added to the restricted list now. If you want to remove that website from this list in the future just tap on the delete button next to the website in the list.
  4. You can also choose websites to restrict from the Web History section, which shows website that have been visited. First tap on the 3 dots next to a website.
  5. Then choose Restrict Website, and that website will be added to the restricted list. The website link will be red when restricted through Web History.

How do I add an allowed website?

Adding an allowed website means that your child can always access that site, it’s never blocked. Very useful for making sure they always have access to educational websites that they need for school.

  1. Tap on the Web Filtering section of your child’s profile to open the settings and then tap on Allowed Sites.
  2. Type in the name of the website you want to allow then tap on Add To Allowed List. You can only allow root websites not a specific page on a website, for example schoolhomepage.com is a root website, and schoolhomepage.com/test-exam-papers/ is a specific page.
  3. You will see that website is added to the allowed list now. If you want to remove that website from this list in the future just tap on the delete button next to the website in the list.
  4. You can also choose websites to allow directly from the Web History section, which shows website that have been visited. First tap on the 3 dots next to a website.
  5. Then choose Allow Website, and that website will be added to the allowed list.

What are restricted websites?

Restricted websites will be blocked permanently. There’s no schedule or time of day that a website that you restrict will be accessible by your child.

This is perfect for website that your kids are drawn to, but you don’t want them ever seeing.

How do Web Filtering categories work?

We have a list, but we only need to check it once!

We have a database of known bad websites, each of these websites is categorized as either Drugs, betting, violence, etc. Each time your child visits a website we check the database to see if the website is in a category that you’ve restricted. If it is then the website will be blocked.

How does Web Filtering work?

Android

Our app will check the content of the website that your child wants to visit, it will then decide if that website should be blocked based on the category restrictions and websites you’ve chosen to block. If the website is blocked your child will see a message telling them it’s being blocked.

Web Filtering will work on any browser and any version of Android

Apple

At the moment we don’t have the Web Filtering feature for kids with Apple devices, but we’re working hard to bring this feature to Apple devices and we’ll send out an email to all parents to let them know when it’s ready.

How do I subscribe to Web Filtering?

The Web Filtering feature is an additional subscription to the premium subscription for other features (Daily Limit, Bed Blocker, App Blocker – Android only, Web History, Search History and Schedules).

  1. To subscribe to the Web Filtering feature tap on the Account section in the left-hand menu of the parent’s app, and under additional purchases you can tap on Upgrade next to Web Filtering.

  2. Then enter your payment details either PayPal or using a credit/debit card, or if you’re using the Apple app then you can only subscribe through iTunes.
