We have a version of Screen Time that works on Kindle Fire but we’re waiting for Amazon to approve the app on the Amazon App Store.
In the meantime you can install Screen Time manually on your child’s Kindle using the link below:

I’ve installed screen time, but it doesn’t work with amazon’s FreeTime app and there is no way to uninstall FreeTime from my Kindle Fire. The problem is that no matter what app my children use inside FreeTime, ScreenTime only accounts for FreeTime, so there is no way to limit time on specific apps.

Thanks for that Daniel. We’ve found that there’s a problem with Screen Time and FreeTime, but I think you should be able to turn off FreeTime from the parental controls within the Kindle Settings. We’ll work on how we handle FreeTime and see if there’s something we can do to track it’s time a bit better.

With the latest Fire, 5th gen, I could not find a way to have a restricted profile without Freetime. And I don’t want to allow my kids full access to my kindle library, which is something that Freetime does provide

Ok thanks for that Daniel, we’ll need to look into this a bit more and work out how we can work with FreeTime and the profiles on the Kindle. I’ll get back to you when there’s some news.
